Mike Saffran of the Army Corps of Engineers in Louisville, Ky. is looking at various ways Asian carp could get into the Great Lakes besides the canal and locks around Chicago. This is a dam in downtown Huntington, on the Wabash, that is low enough for carp to breech. Saffran and others are studying how to fix that. Fish that get past this dam could get to Eagle Marsh, and then in a flood, make their way to Lake Erie.
